10 Things I Would Tell Myself as a First Year Teacher

I am sure I am not alone when I say that I am pretty nervous for the first year of my teaching career. Though I am extremely excited about finally being able to walk into a classroom of my very own, the thought also hits a few nerves! I was searching Pinterest late one night when I came across this article by Emily Liscom, author of ‘Education to the Core.’ After I read, “10 Things I Would Tell Myself as a First Year Teacher,” I found myself feeling somewhat relived and relaxed about the First Year of my teaching journey- I hope this can bring a positive insight to someone else, too!

Miss Munro thank-you for sharing this article! It something that I will be adding to my blog! I the love words of encouragement and advice that she offers. One of the most important things that we can do to prepare for our first year of teaching is to know exactly what are goals are. When we know our goals we can begin to make a plan to reach those goals and make adjustments when we need to.
I am excited for you to begin your teaching career! I really believe that you will make a wonderful teacher!
